The Nuremberg Trials — Crimes Against Humanity

The four allied powers create via the London Charter (Aug 8, 1945) the International Military Tribunal, trying Nazi leaders under the new concept of "crimes against humanity". Chief Prosecutor Robert H. Jackson drafts the Charter. The 1950 UN Nuremberg Principles ground the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
